Many years ago, I walked into an African market here in New York City. The shelves were packed with ingredients from back home – Ghana. The nostalgia hit instantly. I grabbed a few favorites… and a bottle of ginger drink.
But the first sip? Disappointing.
It lacked the fire. The flavor. The feeling I remembered.
With a background in Food Science and Research and Development, I knew I could craft a better option – not just for myself, but for everyone craving real taste of Ginger and Hibiscus drinks.
And so, MOKAADIA was born – right here in the Bronx.
