The purpose of angry prayer has never made sense to me as, I don’t think that will force God to make the changes we think we want. God will come through when it is right, and our angry prayers will not stampede this.
Imagine God granted every wish of ours and killed our enemies, will there be any humans left in the world? What if God kills everyone, we ask him to?
We are all human and we are bound to offend others and mostly we make up and some people who have wronged us at certain times eventually becomes our messiahs. What if we had ‘killed’ them with prayers when they first offended us? You do realize your help would not have come?
One of my friends shared his story of how he had plans on going to one of the middle eastern countries to work as a servant. He had made all plans when his aunt suddenly decided against sending him the funds to leave. All his plans were set, and he had used the little money he had saved only to be disappointed at the very last minute. He said the aunt had said her husband had told her not to.
He went on a mission to kill this man with prayers as the only way to get anything from the aunt was if her husband was dead.
He told me he is glad that, God never answered his prayers as three years later, the aunt’s husband sponsored his immigration to America! He is living well and can be counted as a well-established Ghanaian living happily in New York.
HOW THIS “MAN OF GOD” DESTROYED A GREAT WOMAN
I became roommates with a very nice lady, who prayed without ceasing. She took her prayers seriously and had about four prayer sessions a day each spanning not less than three hours. She set alarms to wake up to pray. She screamed and cried out loud. She led several prayer lines and in-person prayer sessions.
On personal relationships too, she was a wonderful kind-hearted human being. She didn’t engage in gossip, she cooked and cleaned for everyone. She loved children and loved to take care of her friend’s children. Everyone around her loved her and wished her well. As she delved deeper into her journey for heaven, she gradually began to lose herself as she immersed herself in her belief.
I was particularly glad she did her own prayers. She didn’t have to follow any direction, but she prayed on her own and that saw her making a lot of breakthroughs.
Everything became worse when she bought into the doctrine of a new “man of God”
I am sure you also must have noticed over the years that, there is always a reigning ‘man of God’ The plot is same for whoever emerges. This man of God who claims to hear God speak and can tell you why you came to their church without you saying anything and he can help you solve all your problems. These new kid on the blocks never last long, after a maximum of three years, they come crumbling down.
Suddenly another ‘man of God’ will surface, and the crowd will move to him, and a new cult will be created as the former big guy finds himself in a series of scandals emanating from, money, women, and problems with the law.
The moment my friend joined this new movement, she became hostile due to the teachings of this new man of God. I saw red flags on every single teaching and prayer sessions of this man of God. She started by getting paranoid and stopped eating or drinking anything when we went out to events. When her friends were eating in her house, she never tasted anything at theirs.

She stopped showing affection even to her husband. I didn’t see them hold hands anymore or kiss. They were no longer laughing and playing as couples in love did. She was constantly praying and had no time for such acts.
With the kind of angry prayer bullets this man of God asked them to, there was nothing but anger in her every act. She became bitter and started to fight. She was on a battle whenever she prayed. She had no outlet to send her anger but on the people around her who truly loved her.
If we “Kill” Those who offend us, How Then do we Win?
She then went on a war path in a prayer of cutting off heads of her enemies. I could vividly hear her shoot her enemies pey!! pey!! pey!! from across the divide
She had a list of names whose heads she wanted cut off.
We need to understand that most things happen for a reason and if you pray and believe that God will take care of you, then you must trust he will answer your prayers when the time is right. Do not ask God to kill anyone to make you happy. If you believe God is capable, then trust he will make a way for you without killing your enemies but will rather uplift you in their presence and that’s how you win!
