EXPLORING THE SERENE BEAUTY OF THE PARK: A DAY OUTDOORS

I am an advocate of spending enough time with our families. A day in the park is a great opportunity to spend time with the whole family. That is one of the wonderful times spent that I do with my children and their cousins on a good weather.

Exploring the serene beauty of a park is an experience that can evoke a deep sense of peace and connection with nature. Whether you’re walking along winding paths, sitting by a tranquil pond, or simply gazing at the trees swaying gently in the breeze, the park offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The vibrant colors of flowers, the sounds of birds chirping, and the soft rustling of leaves create a sensory-rich environment that allows you to slow down and truly appreciate the moment.

As you explore, you might notice the intricate details that often go unnoticed—a butterfly resting on a flower, the texture of tree bark, or the patterns of sunlight filtering through the branches. The quiet spaces invite reflection and mindfulness, while the open areas offer room for relaxation, play, or exercise.

Usually I take the kids to the park so they can run around and have fun. I love the fact that, they get to enjoy nature, run as much as they wish and come home exhausted! They always have a very good night sleep when we do this.

A DAY AT THE PARK

There are very nice family friendly parks to visit in almost every city. In New York City, you can be sure to find one in every county! Central park is wonderful but we have one closer to our home, Untermeyer Park.

This place is a great place to have a nice family day out. You can make it a picnic day as you should go with food so that you don’t have to rush out due to hunger.

To enjoy the day, you should first ensure a good weather, and a clean park.

so we picked pizza and some drinks and headed to the Untermeyer park!

We found a bench and went straight to lunch and sat for few minutes, took some pictures and surveyed our route.

We laid our mats down and put our stuff and took a walk to the water side and came back to snack. I laid down and watched the children play football as they ran excitedly.

You are bound to find other families and couples here too. Few feet away from where we laid our mat, were two young couples who were obviously in love. They had come with a cute picnic basket, cookies, wine and flowers. They had neatly laid their mat and laid down with a soft cool love jams blasting quietly from their boom player.

I sat and watched these lovely young couple share a beautiful moment together and they were super nice when our ball run over to them. They gladly accepted to keep an eye on our stuff when we walked to see the waterfall.

A larger family had asked us to use our bench when we were leaving, I could tell this was a family of grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren together. A large gathering like this is on my wish list.

No one loves to run about like children and an opened space like the park is one of the best places

If you are lucky, you will witness a concert. Ours was a jazz concert played by an all female band. I can tell this was meant for senior citizens but we stayed to have a feel of it and we loved it!

The park is good for everybody. Whiles the children played, you get to either play with them, run around for some exercise, or lie down to rewind. Enjoy the fresh air and read or just watch nature!

For the few minutes I laid down I was able to rewind. So relaxed and ready for the week ahead!

Parks with waterfalls and other monuments are my favorite as you never get bored.

By engaging with nature in a mindful and intentional way, you can transform a simple visit to a park into an enriching and rejuvenating experience. Make time to do this and trust me, you will absolutely love it!
