Dr. Bawumia is The NPP’s Best Strategy to Break the Eight

Politics is a game of strategies. Nothing happens by chance, but a string of great ideas and policies put together by great and effective planning and foresight. That is why we in the NPP must vote to elect Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he is our best bet to break the eight.

In 2009 when the NPP lost the elections to the unprepared NDC, it became clear that, the NDC was all about try and error and won. This is a party that was unable to even put forth a manifesto and only relied on their opponents to do the brainstorming, steal it and then make slight changes in names of the specific policies.

A classic example of such was how the NDC stole the Northern Development Authority from the NPP manifesto and renamed it SADA and hurriedly implemented it. The result was fowls flying to Burkina Faso.

Again, when the then about-to- quit- politics, vice president H.E John Mahama (JM), suddenly became the flagbearer and president of Ghana at the untimely demise of President Mills, it was clear, JM was not prepared, and the presidency happened to him by chance resulting in four long years of ‘Dumsor’. I don’t want to bore you with the implications of the painful Dumsor the whole nation experienced.

No one wants to live another day in Dumsor and the many problems with the NDC. This is why we all must work hard and beat the NDC squarely in the 2024 elections.

To defeat Ex. President Mahama again at the polls means to select our best to lead the NPP and who better to do so than our vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia?

The opponents of the vice president do not dislike him, they know he is formidable and capable.

Supporters of his opponents have nothing against him, so we all wonder why they are not on board.

Of course, we all cannot be on the same team but their only reason for being on the other side is because they feel, it is their turn.

Unfortunately, we do not have the luxury of time to play “heir to the throne”. If we must win, we cannot joke and put anybody based on the mere fact that, it is their turn.

No one should think people are being whipped in line to follow any one person over the other. None of the delegates is a child. People are simply given the opportunity to examine the strength of the man Dr. Bawumia, because a continuing NPP government is our main objective and not just to seek a flagbearer.

Ideally, we wished we didn’t have to spend our limited resources to go through this but in a democratic dispensation, this is needed.

Some of the strategies political parties all over the world do is to present the best person to beat the opponent. This happened in the 2020 U.S presidential elections where it became apparent that, the only person capable of defeating President Trump was the then former vice president Joe Biden, everyone at this point had to drop out of the race and pledge an unflinching support to the course of nothing but win against President Trump.

The time has come for all meaningful NPP party stakeholders and party faithful to put the interest of the nation at heart and do the right thing. Call your member of parliament, call your MCE, call your party executive and all delegates you know. Tell them to put the prime interest of our collective good first and do the right thing by electing Dr. Bawumia to lead us to break the eight.

His digitalization agenda has put Ghana in the “Ivy-League” of the modern developing economies. The creation of a mobile money interoperability system, the digitalization of the economy, National Digital Property Addressing System are some of the digitalization agendas he has championed.

Dr. Bawumia has a youth appeal. He is currently the youngest amongst all the other presidential aspirants and this will be easier for him to connect and communicate effectively to them. He’s more likely to understand and propose solutions to their issues and aspirations and win more voters from the youth.

His humble nature makes him affable and likeable by all age groups. He is the magnet that can attract and connect both the youth and the elderly.

Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only one amongst all the aspirants whose humility has brought both Christians and moslems together.

He has always and continues to bring in more votes from the northern part of Ghana and his hard work has granted the NPP more parliamentary seats and increased our votes in every election he has been involved in.

He is most certainly going to  garner more votes if he’s on the ballot; effectively annulling the votes that the NDC expect to receive from the northern parts of Ghana.

Dr. Bawumia is the senior apprentice, and he is the only one amongst all the flagbearer hopefuls who have had real life experience in presidency. He’s the current vice president and transitioning to the main head role will come with natural ease.

Dr. Bawumia has a strong background in economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has worked as the deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana. His economic expertise is an asset for driving sustainable development and implementing sound economic policies.

My fellow Kukrudu family, it is possible!

To vote for Dr. Bawumia as flagbearer of the party will serve as an assurance to the youth of the country and those of us without god-fathers in the party that we also can rise to the top. It gives those of us who comes from far away villages where the contributions of our fathers were not documented that, it is possible.

Just as the NDC rallied behind Prof Mills who won power for them, it is the same way the NPP must rally behind our vice president, Dr. Bawumia, to win power for us. In a party that is trying hard to set a record of breaking the eight, there is no reason for anyone to play favoritism, to play victimhood or claim heir to some sort of a throne. We are all stakeholders, and it is our turn too.

Every group of people or party must strive to always put forward their best foot. And for us in the NPP, the best to lead, is Dr. Mahamud Bawumia.

Folks,  IT IS POSSIBLE!!!

Eeshi,  Rado!! Rado!! Rado!!
