Why Daddy Lumba is the Greatest Musician in Ghana

Daddy Lumba has made life comfortable and encouraging and he deserves Praise. We all owe Lumba gratitude for making our lives better through his powerful music. DL is a gift and we the die-hard fans will be forever grateful to him.

There are several reasons why DL is the greatest and for that matter, timeless and unmatched.

The Ghanaian music industry is doing marvelously well more than before and the emergence of great and talented musicians that our music industry has produced has been phenomenal. All these musicians have contributed to our entertainment, and we are grateful. We hope they received their reward as much as we enjoyed, their music.

There have been musicians for every era. If you play a music from the year 2000, trust that you are bound to remember the other songs that erupted at the time and were played alongside without even thinking. So today every old music you play reminds you of where you were. These great arts have come and gone and most of these artists have exited the stage. One that is still standing, one artist that currently has the youngest audience is our very own DL.

He has fans in every generation and to think that, 90% of his music is in Twi is mind boggling.

The style, tune and words in DL’s music is timeless and he has a song for every single human situation. Happy? Try listening to his Aben wo aha.

In love? Just tune in to his medo wo asem bebree, wo ho nkyere, se wease nyinaa beyiwo amaa. Opono hini me,  wo ate ase anaa and the timeless, se sumye kasa aa. This one even became more popular when Sarkodie danced to it.

Sad or Bereaved? Try listening to the song he composed for his late mother, Ama Saah and adaka teaaa that featured Ateaa Tina.

Is your heart broken from the love of your life? Has your love betrayed you? Has anyone scammed you by pretending to be someone else? Has anyone rejected you and your love? Biribi gyegye wo is your consolation song to see you through the pains of your heart break.

You need nothing but a Lumba love classic. Gold digger will tell you, you are not in love and that, the sugar daddy is using you as his energy drink and that innocent girl is using you to complete her course and she cares less about you but you money. Odo Foforoo will tell you to be vigilant and not give too much of your love to that new found love. He’s the only one that can make you realize your feelings and whether those feelings are true or infatuations.

We all know money is good but DL is the only person that will open your eyes to the fact that money is king!

DL sings about gratitude and ungratefulness and how he pays less attention to negativity. He summarizes this in his Yentie obiaa classic.

Are you hopeless and need encouragement? Nkyenkyewonafe is encouraging and promising that, you will cry, smile, jump with excitement and be motivated to still pursue your course for there are better days ahead so you should keep pushing.

My favorite song from DL is Theresa, the beat alone is enough to send your head spinning. You spin your head for the first few minutes and then the words of gratitude starts flowing. Theresa is deceased and I can only hope that, she never suffered in her lifetime. He praised Theresa endlessly and then goes on to praise every single person that has shown him kindness and love in his early beginnings. He also tells Ghanaian men how life would be easy for every man if every Ghanaian woman was like Theresa. I just love the song because I believe we can all make our men live a happy life by being a little more like Theresa.

Listeners of DL have benefited more than he has benefitted from his own craft.

Another amazing thing happening now is the fact that, young adults are now listening to his music that was released before they were born. With the emergence of TikTok a lot more people are now understanding the words in the songs which makes it even better and most of us have caught our aha or oooooo moments. We thank you but we will still stick with how we heard it all the while with the true meanings at the back of our minds.

I for one have never been enthused about an eminent release of a new album or song because I feel like I have not exhausted the previous songs enough.

No artist sings about gratitude more than DL and it is a wonder why he’s been accused of ungratefulness more than any artist. That however is not our problem.

We love him beyond anything so when you decide to go into any business deal with our darling boy, remember you are on your own. We as his supporters will never forsake him. Do not expect us to insult him on your behalf. If you have paid attention, even when people are pushed to talk about their unpleasant encounters with him, the interviewers are measured in their choice of words and its difficult for them to even push them to say more. That is how beloved DL is to us.

Hear us well when we say we love him because, we know he’s human and as such, he can go wrong but we will not chastise him, we will not send him to the cleaners, and we will not even listen or read about what you have to say. We have not been able to even pay the man for making our lives better and you want us to help you in reprimanding him?

Trust that we will be in your comment section but to defend him. We will be in your comment and inbox to heap praises.

If you are not careful, he will reply you with a song that will torment you for the rest of your life! It is not a pleasant situation that you guys find yourself in, but we are helpless. Our love for the man is beyond reasonable doubt.

If you know Lumba, kindly send my love and that of many Ghanaians for making meanings to our situations and helping us out of our misery, love journeys, rivalry, bereavement, and sadness.

we wish our favorite artist will make himself more available to his friends so that we can spend some time with him.

We wish him well and pray he lives a healthy and a long prosperous life.

Thank you very much Mr Charles Kwadwo Fosu, aka Daddy Lumba, aka, DL, May God be your strength and direct your paths throughout your life.

Legend of our time, we just love you!
